Product Information
”The AT-LP5X is a well-executed design that sounds great for the money. It’s also well built, easy to set up and nice to use. These things make it worthy of a spot on anyone’s shortlist.” ’What Hi-Fi?’ – 5 Star review.
The perfect blend of features and sound quality
The latest turntable in an award-winning line gives you the perfect balance of features and sound quality. It’s ideal as a way in to vinyl or for those already with a cherished collection. For the best sound quality, the AT-LP5X is fully manual and comes fitted with top quality Audio Technica arm and cartridge. For ease of use, there’s a USB output, built-in phonostage and 3-speed switching.
Designed for clarity
With its direct drive motor, the AT-LP5X gives superb pitch stability. Combined with the cast aluminium platter and low resonance chassis, it gives the AT-LP5X ideal speed stability for perfect pitch and the lowest distortion.
Enhanced Audio Technica tonearm
The J-shaped tonearm is a classic AT design that’s designed for perfect groove alignment. Fitted with adjustable dynamic anti-skate control, the tonearm lets the cartridge track the record as accurately as possible, giving the lowest distortion and highest levels of detail.
Latest AT cartridge
The AT-LP5X also benefits from being fitted with the latest Audio Technica cartridge. Featuring an elliptical stylus, the Audio Technica AT-VM95E is a great upgrade over standard cartridges. Compared to more basic conical cartridges, the elliptical stylus on the VM95E literally gets deeper into the groove – pulling out more music.
Three speeds – including 78
As well as 33 and 45 records, the AT-LP5X is now compatible with 78s. Simply swap over the stylus for an AT-VMN95SP (available as a cost option) and you’ve a deck perfectly set for 78s.
Archive your records to PC or Mac via USB
With its USB output, hooking the Audio Technica LP5 to your PC or Mac is a moment’s work. Connect the deck to your PC or Mac, use your choice of optional third party software, such as Audacity, and you can record all your vinyl to MP3. From here, the choice is yours. Load them on to your MP3 player or NAS drive, record on to CD or just have the records archived on your computer - whatever your choice, your LPs are now more accessible than ever before.
Built-in phono pre-amp
Audio Technica have made it easy to hook up the AT-LP5X to your existing system. A built-in phono pre-amp means you don't have to have a hi-fi with a phono pre-amp built-in - any AUX input will work fine. Alternatively, switch the built-in phonostage off and use your existing one.
Get deeper into the groove, with the Audio Technica AT-LP5X.
