More of an essential than an accessory, this dedicated power supply not only boosts the power supply signal but also separates different elements and takes the strain away from the mains unit’s supply. The power supply requirements for a CD player are very different from that of an amp, which is why the PSU-XR intelligently adapts to each component’s specific requirements. Components that have both digital and analogue circuitry, for example, benefit from dedicated power supplies to each section. Compatible with the i9-XR, Pre-XR, CDi-XR and CDt-XR models, this is a great way to upgrade your system’s performance, without having to replace the original components.
Independent power supplies for reduced distortion
With no fewer than five, independent power supplies built-in, the PSU-XR maximises your component’s full potential. One of the supplies is dedicated to digital circuitry while the other four supply the analogue circuits. These are split into two fixed and two variable voltage supplies, that are ideally matched to low and high voltage supplies, such as for a pre and power amp.
Fully isolated for the lowest noise
The PSU-XR has a raft of technology that helps reduce noise and distortion to the lowest levels. Fifteen separate transformer windings, ground isolated regulation circuitry and separate output power and ground returns in the link cable all help to fully isolate the signal, ensuring the quietest supply of power possible.
Enhanced Cyrus design
Now with a new Phantom Black finish, the PSU-XR’s style is slicker than ever. The die-cast casing is extremely solid and strongly resists both electrical and mechanical interference from surrounding sources.
