Product Information
Delivering the perfect blend of sound and convenience, the Dual CS 429 is an automatic turntable of quality.
Fully automatic convenience
For hassle-free playback, a fully automatic turntable is the way to go. Simply press a button and let the Dual CS 429 do the rest. Once you’ve pushed the start button, the tonearm automatically lifts, aligns and drops into place at the start of the record. At the end of the side, the tonearm returns and the motor stops.
High quality base
Rather than plastic, Dual uses folded MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) construction for a rigid plinth. Combined with the vibration absorbing feet, this reduces distortion levels to a minimum, letting you hear a more natural, less coloured sound.
Adjustable tonearm
Using aluminium constriction and ball-bearing movement, the CS 429’s tonearm is built to the same high standard as the rest of the deck. The rigid tonearm design means you get precise tracking, letting the cartridge do its job as effectively as possible. For future upgrades in cartridge, the tonearm has adjustable tracking force and anti-skating, making it highly versatile for all cartridge types.
Ortofon 2M Red cartridge included
Matching the quality of the deck and tonearm, the Dual CS 429 is supplied with an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge. Usually priced at around £100 on its own, this top quality cartridge ensures a high standard of connection with your records. The highly polished, tipped elliptical diamond gives excellent tracking without causing excessive wear to your vinyl.
Connect to any AUX input – with built-in phono pre-amp
Dual makes it easy to connect the CS 429 to your existing system. A built-in phono pre-amp means you don't have to have a hi-fi with a phono pre-amp built-in - any AUX input will work fine.
Three speed playback – including 78rpm
As well as 33/45 speed selection, the Dual CS 429 also has 78rpm speed setting. Simply change the stylus or cartridge head for a 78 compatible stylus and playback your old 78 discs. To make this easier, the tonearm is fitted with a detachable headshell, so it’s simply a case of unscrewing one headshell and screwing on the next.
Make quality vinyl playback a doddle, with the Dual CS 429.
