Product Information
"We're astounded by their speed of response, and the level of insight they offer." 'What Hi-Fi? Sound & Vision magazine'. 5-star review. Tested at £960.
Single driver that gets to the heart of the music
Rather than using two or three speaker drivers, with a crossover to split the music between them, the Eclipse TD508 MK3 uses just one. The advantages offered by a full-range driver include pin-point precison, consistent timing and a very smooth response across the frequency range. The fibreglass driver used in the TD508 MK3 offers exceptional speed and agility for thrilling sound quality.
Vibration elimination solution
These speakers don't just sound fast, thanks to anti-vibration technology they sound exceptionally accurate, too. With a high mass anchor at the back of the drive unit acting as a vibration sink, distortion is greatly reduced. The cabinet also boasts a 'diffusion stay' which greatly reduces sound colouration from the cabinet itself. The result of this hi-tech design is an incredible sense of realism that leads the class at this price.
Egg-shaped cabinet for style and sound
The highly distinctive egg-shaped design not only looks stunning, it also helps improve the sound quality. The shape breaks standing and diffraction waves to give a less distorted, less 'boxy' sound. With such a small frontal surface area it allows gives the Eclipse speakers superb stereo imaging, helping to give a 'wall of sound' effect.
Solid foundation
The supplied desk-top stand not only enhances the style but also offers further damping. Tilt adjustment between -10 and +30 degrees lets you easily align the speaker for the most precise sound.
Stunning sound realism meets cutting-edge design to create a speaker that truly thinks out of the box.
