The Edifier R1280DBs speakers deliver enveloping, stereo sound. Simply pair up via Bluetooth and wirelessly stream music, Internet radio, podcasts and more from your smartphone, tablet and laptop. More than just a Bluetooth speaker, the versatile Edifiers let you connect a wide range of other sources, such as TV, CD and games console, using the selection of digital and analogue inputs.
Spacious, stereo sound
Having stereo speakers, rather than a single mono speaker, gives you a big uplift in sound quality. The soundstage stretches wider, producing a more lifelike sound, with instruments and voices located across the soundstage. Powered by a 42 watt amp, the two-way speakers also pack a surprising punch. For even deeper bass, simply add your choice of subwoofer via the dedicated output. Edifier’s T5 model makes a great partner.
Wirelessly stream your music via Bluetooth
For music made easy, simply pair your smartphone, tablet or laptop and wirelessly stream from your favourite music streaming services, such as Spotify, Apple Music and BBC Sounds. You can also stream your stored music library, making these speakers a brilliant way to free the sound from your smartphone.
Connect your TV and games console
Featuring both optical and coaxial digital inputs the R1280DBs speakers connect directly to your TV and games console. The digital inputs also suit many CD, DVD and Blu-ray players.
Link up to your analogue music sources
Completing the Edifiers’ fulsome connectivity, two RCA phono inputs link up to any music source with a line level RCA output. This includes CD players, tuner radios and turntables with a built-in phono preamp (a separate phono preamp is required if your turntable doesn’t have one built-in).
Rounded style
Available in a choice of black or wood effect, there’s a finish to suit your style. Rounded edges make these speakers easy on the eye, with the removable grilles giving you a choice of discreet or technical styles.
Easy control
For simple and direct control, three control dials at the side of the active speaker let you adjust volume, bass and treble. The speakers are also supplied with a handy remote control, bringing additional functionality such as source input selection, Bluetooth pairing and soundstage spacialiser.
