Next level tech for scintillating sound
Taking the excellent M11 Plus as its basis, the FIIO M23 adds a higher performance DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) and amplifier, improved connectivity, a Desktop Mode and dual-mode fast charging. Put together, this raft of upgrades not only improve the sound quality, but also the user experience.
Flagship DAC components
At the heart of this FIIO Hi-Res portable is AKM’s flagship DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) technology comprising two chips – the AK4191EQ and AK4499EX. It uses separate digital and analogue sections and enhanced signal routing for the highest possible signal to noise ratio. This promotes a quieter backdrop for sensational detail and realism. Put simply, the FIIO M23 lets you hear details in your favourite music that you may never have heard before.
Powerful headphone amplifier
With its 4-way, fully balanced THX AAA 788+ amplifier, the M23 produces incredibly faithful, low distortion sound. Low, Medium, High and Super High Gain Modes means that the amp seamlessly matches your headphones, with ample power for driving even the most demanding models.
Balanced headphone output
As well as delivering the power to drive your headphones, the M23 also has the connectivity to match. For balanced headphones, the M23 has a 4.4mm output. Using a balanced signal between the source and headphones reduces noise and interference and is especially handy on the move. A standard 3.5mm unbalanced socket is also standard.
Desktop mode
More than just a top quality portable player, the FIIO M23 also quickly adapts to your desktop system. At the flick of a switch, desktop mode (D.MODE) is activated. This disconnects the battery and switches the power supply to an external source.
Twin USB ports for power and signal
Working in conjunction with the Desktop mode, a dedicated USB-C socket accepts a pure power signal. When connected to a high current USB-C power source, Super High Gain Mode can be activated and the player’s full power potential is obtained (up to 1000mW per channel). This makes it ideal for driving high impedance headphones.
Use as a USB DAC for your smartphone, computer or laptop
With its second USB-C connection and high quality AKM convertors, the M23 also makes a great standalone DAC for your smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer. Much better than most internal DACs and PC soundcards, the M23 offers a great boost to your smartphone and computer’s sound quality.
Qualcomm Snapdragon processor for seamless operation
With Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor at its heart, the FIIO M23 provides a seamless response. The powerful processor responds rapidly and easily handles power-hungry functions such as watching video or playing games. It also has an ultra-low power consumption, helping to extend the battery life.
Android based operating system
Featuring an Android based operating system, controlling the M23 is much like using an Android Smartphone. Download apps via the Google Play store and you’ve got access to a vast range of top quality streaming services (subscriptions may apply). The 5.5 inch, bezel-less screen design makes artwork and videos ‘pop’ with colour vibrancy.
Dual-mode Bluetooth support
Ideal for use with your Bluetooth headphones, the M23 is compatible with a wide range of high quality Bluetooth codecs, including LDAC, aptX and aptX HD. The high quality Bluetooth 5 system also supports receiving Bluetooth signals via SBC, AAC and LDAC codecs.
Long-lasting and fast charging batter
Specially selected for low-resistance and fast-charging characteristics, the battery array delivers up to 10.5 hours playback in single-ended mode and nine hours in balanced. Recharge for just one hour and you get 80%, giving 8.5 hours playback. 35 minutes charging replenishes half the batteries’ capacity.
