Mass. Producing sound
At the heart of this highly researched and developed turntable is a massive, 33mm thick plater that weighs in at 1.7kg. The reason for this massive platter is, by increasing the mass, vibration and resonance are greatly reduced, letting you hear more detail. With an inky dark backdrop, if a pin drops in the recording studio, you’ll hear it on playback. Made from DuPont-developed Delrin, the polymer-based platter’s structure also complements your vinyls’ natural impedance. This effectively grounds unwanted noise, keeping it away from the sensitive stylus.
Smooth pitch and fine detail
For stable, pitch-accurate sound, the UltraDeck+UG uses a 300rpm AC motor. Motor vibrations are kept away from the record and stylus by using advanced damping materials that effectively decouple the motor from the rest of the deck. Without this vibration to contend with, you get even less background noise, letting more of that fine background detail shine through.
Custom-developed Ultra tonearm
Matching this highly impressive turntable is a bespoke tonearm. Developed and manufactured in the USA, the Ultra tonearm has a number of sound-enhancing features. Longer than standard tonearms, this 10-inch design, with gimbaled bearing, offers enhanced tracking. The aluminium tonearm strikes the perfect balance between lightweight and rigidity, helping to reduce distortion. Inside, Cardas Audio wiring maintains the signal purity from the headshell to the RCA output sockets. The tonearm also adjusts to suit a wide variety of different cartridges. Adjustable for tracking force, anti-skate, azimuth and VTA (height), it’s easy to get the perfect setting for your next cartridge upgrade.

Supplied with the top-end, UltraGold MC cartridge, the UltraDeck+UG delivers to the deck’s full potential – and then some.
