The highest quality, discrete components for reference sound quality
Just as with other Musical Fidelity M6 components, the M6x Vinyl delivers class-leading sound quality. High quality, discrete components extract every detail of musical nuance from your vinyl. The low noise power supply features a toroidal transformer. This provides a high quality, quiet and stable power supply, for peak performance and low background noise.
Balanced connectivity
For pro-quality connectivity, the M6x Vinyl features balanced XLR inputs and outputs. Connect these to a compatible turntable and amp and you get a ‘locked in’ connection, with the ability to run a far longer cable, without a drop off in performance. For sources without XLR connections, the M6x Vinyl also features standard RCA phono inputs.
Three inputs
Featuring a total of three inputs (2 RCA and 1 XLR), the M6x Vinyl is configurable for three separate turntables (or cartridges). This is ideal if you use different types of deck (such as DJ-type and domestic turntables), or even if you have a range of cartridges on different headshells, such as a 78rpm, MM and MC.
Fully adjustable to suit your MM cartridge load
Easily accessible, at the front of the M6x Vinyl is a capacitance loading switch for MM (Moving Magnet) cartridges. Find your cartridge’s specs in your manual or online and adjust the setting to suit, giving you perfectly tailored sound.
Fully adjustable to suit your MC cartridge load
Just as with MM cartridges, the M6x Vinyl is also fully adjustable (via impedance) to suit a wide range of MC (Moving Coil) cartridges. As well as adjusting for the cartridge load, you can also boost the gain (+6dB). This is ideal for when using a low output MC cartridge which otherwise would sound too quiet.
Quality case – in black or silver
Featuring a stylish metal case, the M6x Vinyl looks as good as it sounds. For the perfect match with your existing system, the case can be had with either a black or silver front panel.
