Whether you input via the USB, coaxial or optical inputs, the MX DAC processes the signal in the DSD (Direct Stream Digital) domain. This enhanced digital processing gives the sound a richer, smoother balance than more conventional digital conversion systems.
Wide range of digital inputs
With no fewer than five inputs, it’s easy to upgrade the sound from your entire digital system. For the very best sound quality, connect your computer via the USB-B interface and enjoy sound that’s so ‘real’ you could be in the studio. Two optical and coaxial sockets are also on hand and are perfect for connecting a CD transport, network music streamer, TV and games console.
Balanced output option
For pro-quality connectivity, the MX DAC features balanced XLR outputs. Connect these to a compatible amplifier or AVR and you get a ‘locked in’ connection, with the ability to run a far longer cable, without a drop off in performance. For amps without XLR inputs, the MX DAC also features standard RCA phono outputs.
