The Neat Acoustics Strata Ekstra proves that you can have seriously deep bass from a slimline and room-friendly cabinet. Using an isobaric speaker array, these speakers faithfully reproduce the deepest notes yet, at just 17cm wide, they don’t dominate your room. Ideal for use in medium-sized rooms, these speakers truly sound larger than they look.
The isobaric bass advantage
The lower section of the Strata Ekstra houses two woofer units, set in an isobaric array. The two woofers move in tandem, creating the effect of a larger bass cone within a larger cabinet. The result is deep and powerful bass that’s not only extended far below from what you’d expect from a cabinet of this size but also still crisp and pacey in its timing – just as you’d expect from the Neat Acoustics brand.
Agile and lifelike sound
Like other Neat Acoustics speakers, the Strata Ekstra’s focus on the music’s pace and timing. Foot-tappingly addictive to listen to, it’s easy to zone-out with your favourite music when listening to these speakers. Bass and mid-range are seamlessly integrated, meaning that you hear a smooth flow of sound that’s more ‘live’ and less ‘hi-fi’ in balance.
Ribbon tweeter for incredible top-end detail
As part of their innovative design, the Strata Ekstra’s feature ribbon tweeters. The ribbon design promotes extraordinary top-end clarity and definition. Although you won’t be able to hear the very highest notes produced, which stretch right up to 40,000Hz, you do get to appreciate reduced harmonic compression, whereby the highest notes would usually be compressed. This means you get to hear a more spacious and ‘open’ top-end.
