”Dynamics are excellent, which means continually engrossing performances and edge-of-the-seat listening.” ’What Hi-Fi?’ – 5 Star review.
Affordable high-end turntable
The Origin Live Aurora MKV is an impressive entry point into high-end turntable heaven. Featuring a precision, Swiss motor and low friction drive train, it’s lifelike and neutral sounding, with the refined suspension system keeping vibrations at bay. The deck comes without arm or cartridge, letting you choose how to spec it and giving you the option to upgrade over time.
Precision Swiss motor and ultra-low friction bearings for perfect pitch
Sharing its high-grade DC100 motor with more expensive models, the Aurora has the perfect foundations for smooth-running, low vibration and speed stability. The in-house MKV bearing mirrors these qualities, with its ultra-low levels of friction not only letting the music flow freely but also providing a long life expectancy.
High mass chassis design for a well damped sound
Using a high mass design, the Aurora effectively damps vibration and helps deliver clean, powerful dynamics. The sub-chassis plate effectively decouples the armboard and bearing housing, further reducing the potential for distortion through vibration.
Refined suspension system for ideal isolation
Suspended turntables help isolate the deck from vibrations, reducing sound colouration and harsh distortion. They can also reduce the music’s impact, however, which is why you’ll see both types of suspended and non-suspended designs at every level. The Aurora’s unique suspension design offers the isolating benefits but without the potential disadvantages, meaning that timing, pace and imaging are all still first-rate.
Dedicated power supply with electronic speed change
Featuring the MKV power supply, with electronic speed control, the Aurora switches from 33 to 45 rpm at the touch of a button – no need for a belt change. The electronic system also ensures absolute speed precision, giving you the most precise and stable sound.
Upgrades available
As well as being able to choose your tonearm and cartridge, the Aurora offers a number of upgrades. Upgrading to the multi-layer platter helps deliver a sharper and deeper bass, among other improvements. You can also upgrade the armboard to one that accepts 12 inch tonearms, or a dual armboard that facilitates using two tonearms and cartridges.
Journey through your vinyl collection and hear new detail, with the Origin Live Aurora.
