Product Information
The Ortofon 2MR Black LVB 250 delivers flagship sound quality from a universal cartridge.
The finest sound from the widest range of turntables
Ortofon’s 2MR models use a slimline body for full compatibility with low-profile turntables. With its near-flush stylus fitting and absence of spacers, it saves 3mm in height over the regular version – making all the difference with fitting some tonearms. In other respects, the Ortofon 2MR Black LVB 250 matches the regular 2M Black LVB 250 model, meaning you get the best possible MM sound from this high reviewed cartridge.
Ultimate Moving Magnet sound quality
Already one of the finest Moving Magnet cartridges available, the 2MR Black LVB 250 makes one of the best, even better. Suitable for decks costing right up to £3000 - £4000, the 2MR Black LVB 250 can withstand many upgrades to the rest of your kit before it’s out of its depth. Its natural and musical sound lets you forget about the system and simply enjoy the music – exactly what all good hi-fi should do.
Top of the range – diamond performer
Standing at the top of Ortofon’s impressive 2MR range, the 2MR Black LVB 250 makes further advances over the regular model. Technically, the main difference is the use of a boron cantilever. Tipped with a Shibata diamond stylus, this combination is as used on the MC Cadenza Black and offers remarkable transparency, speed and timing precision. A wide contact area means deeper bass, more detail from the top end and less damage to your precious records.
Premium construction
Using a body made from Hopelex, the 2MR Black LVB 250 is extremely rigid while also eliminating unwanted resonances. This reduces distortion, bringing detail to the fore and promotes a more natural sound. Attention to detail extends to split pole pins with silver-plated copper wire – for the most musical transition of sound.
Hear the ultimate sound from an MM cartridge, with the Ortofon 2MR Black LVB 250.
