Direct drive for ultimate control
Like all the best DJ decks, the Pioneer PLX500 features fast-acting direct drive. The 3-phase, brushless DC motor with electronic brake gives fast, effortless control - making your mixes smoother than ever. Combined with the sturdy aluminium platter, robust cartridge, slip-mat and pitch control, you've everything you need from a deck for seamless mixing.

S-shaped tonearm with full adjustment, including VTA
Robust and practical, the PLX500's tonearm is the ideal match for the deck. The classic S-shape is tried and tested and favoured by many for mixing use. Just like you'd hope for from a professional deck, the PLX500's tonearm features a detachable headshell for swift cartridge replacement. It also has accurate weight adjustment plus the crucial VTA height adjustment - letting you use thicker slip-mats and deeper cartridges without upsetting the balance.

USB output for recording to your computer
Featuring a B-type USB you can connect up a PC or Mac. From here it's easy to convert the tracks into digital files - letting you playback your treasured vinyls any place you choose. Combine with software such as Pioneer's own rekordbox and you can also incorporate vinyl into a software based mixing system.

Line level output - simply add active speakers or your choice of amp
Thanks to the Pioneer's built-in phono stage (MM only), it's easy to connect this deck up. Choose from active speakers for desk-top monitoring or any choice of amp or mini system - if it has an AUX input then this DJ deck will plug and play.
