CD transport – pure and simple
The Primare DD35 is a CD transport, pure and simple. This means that there’s no built-in DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor), letting you choose your own DAC, or use the player with a digital amplifier. Ideally matched to the Primare I35 DAC or PRE35 DAC amps, buying the DD35 saves you from buying the DAC section twice.
High quality CD transport section
At the heart of this Primare CD transport is a state-of-the-art Teac mechanism. Rather than using a basic CD-ROM device, Primare has chosen this dedicated CD transport. As a dedicated CD drive, levels of jitter are extremely low, meaning it supplies the DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) with the cleanest signal possible.
High levels of connectivity
The Primare DD35 has a carefully chosen selection of connections – making it ideal for multi-room systems. For system control there’s a 12v trigger socket, RS232 and IR in/outputs. Optical and coaxial digital outputs for connection to your digital amp or DAC are both standard.
