Product Information
Featuring a revolutionary True Balanced Connection, the Pro-Ject X2 B banishes interference, giving you a new level of sonic purity.
Hear your music, in every detail, with True Balanced Connection
A balanced connection resists noise from wi-fi, Bluetooth and other airborne interference, giving you a much purer and less distorted sound. The balanced output on the Pro-Ject X2 B uses a mini-XLR socket to create a studio-quality link when used with a suitable phono pre-amp (compatible models include Pro-Ject Phono Box S3 B and Phono Box DS3 B). For a regular, non-balanced RCA connection, the turntable also has RCA phono outputs and is supplied with the Pro-Ject Connect it Phono E RCA cable.
Substantial engineering
It’s not just the balanced connection that sets this turntable apart, it’s the substantial engineering, too. The 2kg acrylic platter provides the ideal interface for you vinyl and helps provide smooth and stable pitch. Using a 50mm MDF chassis, the X2 B is far more rigid and resistant to vibration than plastic-based and less substantial rivals. In addition to this, height adjustable, damped aluminium feet effectively damp away mechanical vibrations form other hi-fi components on the same shelf or footfall in the room.
Extended length tonearm for improved tracking
The X2 B features an extended length tonearm for improved tracking and heightened realism. The tonearm uses a carbon and aluminium sandwich construction for super rigidity. The stiffer a tonearm is the more effectively it carries the sound, undistorted to the next stage in the signal. A further high-end feature is the TPE damped counterweight – helping to reduce resonance distortion still further.
Fully adjustable
For those of you wanting to get the very best performance from your deck, the tonearm also features pro-level adjustments. As well as the usual weight and anti-skating, you can also adjust the VTA (Vertical tracking Angle, or height) and Azimuth. This gives near infinite levels of fine-tuning.
High end Ortofon cartridge included
Matching the quality of the deck and tonearm, the Quintet Red cartridge is supplied by cartridge experts, Ortofon, to best suit the characteristics of the X2 B. Worth over £300 in its own right, this quality cartridge uses a Moving Coil (MC) design for exquisite detail and musical flow.
Speed control – at the touch of a button
Although Pro-Ject have kept unnecessary features to a minimum, the electronic speed control helps provide a clean and stable power supply to the motor – with the further advantage of push button speed control between 33 and 45. Change the cartridge to a suitable model and you can even spin at 78rpm, too.
Choice of luxury finishes
Available in real wood, high gloss or statin finishes, the X2 B has a luxury aesthetic to suit your style. For protection from dust and accidental damage, a clear lid is supplied.
Take your vinyl playback to the next level of resolution, with the Pro-Ject X2 B.
