Combining a pre-amp, DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) and headphone amp in one, tiny, box, the Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital makes the ideal hub for a desktop system.
Capable digital circuit
Based around the high-end ESS Sabre ESS9038Pro DAC, the Pre Box S2 Digital is capable of converting Hi-Res music files right up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD512 via its Type-B USB port (24-bit/192kHz via optical and coaxial). The DAC also works with MQA audio files, making it compatible with a wider range of music files and streaming services such as TIDAL Masters.
Low jitter and adjustable filters for tailored sound
With Pro-Ject’s proprietary Optimum Transient Digital Filter and complimentary clock circuit, the Pre Box S2 Digital features ultra-low levels of jitter. This means you get a smoother, less distorted sound, that’s packed with detail. With seven selectable filters, you can tailor the sound to your preference.

It might be small, but this pocket rocket is packed full of high quality components. Organic polymer capacitors and thin-film miniMELF resistors bring high performance audio to the micro-world.
