Product Information
Inspired by a retro classic, but packed with the latest music streaming tech, the Roberts Rambler Max delivers the best of both worlds.
Retro design for the streaming music age
The Roberts Rambler Max’s design is inspired by the company’s iconic 1970s radios. With its vinyl wrap and wooden ‘cheeks,’ the style is instantly familiar, yet with a fresh new appeal. Beneath the retro exterior is everything you’d expect from a modern speaker, including wi-fi, built-in music streaming apps, Bluetooth pairing and DAB radio. Just like Roberts radios from the past, the sound quality is also a cut above the competition.
Music streaming and Internet radio
Featuring music streaming apps such as Spotify and Deezer apps built-in, you’ve got the potential to tap into a near unlimited choice of music and podcasts (premium accounts required for full features). Internet radio via SmartRadio further broadens your choice, with thousands of radio stations available from around the world. With up to 20 Internet radio presets, it’s easy to recall your favourites.
Digital and FM radio
As well as SmartRadio, the Rambler Max also comes equipped with DAB+, DAB and FM tuners, giving you access to a wide range of radio stations. DAB+ and DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) let you listen in crisp and clear digital sound quality. In case your favourite stations aren't available in DAB, it’s also equipped with an FM tuner.
Bluetooth for quick and easy streaming
Wireless music streaming is also available via Bluetooth. It’s easy to link up to your smartphone, tablet or laptop. Simply pair with your device and stream your favourite music streaming services, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and BBC Sounds.
Connect to USB, AUX and headphones
Another handy feature with the Roberts Rambler Max is the USB socket. This connects to a USB media device and works with a wide variety of file types, including MP3, WMA, FLAC and AAC. This versatile radio also has a 3.5mm AUX input for connecting a separate music source, such as a CD player, and a headphone socket for private listening.
Smooth, powerful sound
The Rambler Max isn’t just about style and tech, it’s got the sound quality to impress, too. The rigid cabinet uses a bass port for rich, full-bodied sound, even at lower volumes. The sound is fully customisable, with six EQ settings and separate bass, treble and loudness controls for sound that’s perfectly tailored to you.
A new twist on a classic design
No one does retro radio style quite like Roberts; after all, it was Roberts who pioneered this style back in the 1970s. The Rambler Max has all the classic design features that evoke its rich heritage, including wooden side cheeks, aluminium grille and leatherette casing and carry handle. Brought bang up to date with the latest materials, such as the wooden side cheeks made from sustainable bamboo rather than hardwood, the Rambler Max has a fresh new appeal.
Optional battery pack
Mains powered as standard, the Rambler Max can also be used with an optional BP3 battery pack. This makes the radio fully portable, letting you enjoy music in the garden or anywhere else when you’re out and about. Combined with the Bluetooth streaming, you can now access a near unlimited supply of music, wherever you are.
Max out on retro design and rich sound, with this updated classic from Roberts.
