Classic ‘50s style
No one can do retro radio style as well as Roberts; after all, it was Roberts that produced radios that looked similar to this way back in the 1950s! With its strap carry handle, solid, rounded case and mesh speaker grille, the RD70 looks just as good in today's homes as it would have done in the '50s.
Colour display
With its neat colour display, the RD70 gives at-a-glance status of radio station, time, alarm settings and radio text, giving this retro classic a modern twist.
Modern features including favourite station
Despite the '50s style, this Roberts radio is completely up-to-date in terms of features. A great feature with the RD70 is the 'favourite station' key. We all have our favourite station and with this radio, no matter what frequency you're on, that station is always just a quick button press away. An array of standard presets is also available to scroll through. Choose between mains or battery power – giving you the option of full portability.
Multi-function alarm
Ideal as a bedside radio/Bluetooth speaker, the RD70 has a range of convenient alarm features. With two alarms, you can choose to wake up to a buzzer or the radio (from any frequency type). There’s also a handy snooze button. Before you nod off to sleep, you can set the timer to play for up to 90 minutes before turning itself off.
Great connectivity
In terms of connectivity, the RD70 not only has a headphone socket but also a 3.5mm AUX input socket - ideal for connecting up your MP3 player or other audio source.
Smooth, rich sound
With its solid cabinet and powerful amplifier, the RD70 has a more powerful and fuller sound than typical portable radios. Especially good with speech but also surprisingly dynamic with music, listening to the RD70 is always a rich experience.
Keep the retro style without having to give up on streaming and digital radio, with the fully-featured Roberts RD70.
