Renowned for their neutrality and musical delivery, Sennheiser’s HD 660 headphones have a cult following. Now in S2 form, the updated model features lighter voice coils and improved airflow, helping to enhance the bass response. Dropping from 110Hz to 70Hz, the bottom end now has noticeably more impact, without spoiling the headphone’s legendary sonic precision.
Musical delivery
As before, the HD 660S2 headphones are designed for the critical listener. Hand selected speakers are carefully paired, giving these headphones the most consistent sound between channels. Precision, stainless steel fabric diaphragms deliver life-like realism for a true-to-life sound.
Open back for open sound
Featuring an open back design, the HD 660S2 headphones are able to reproduce a spacious, ‘out of head’ sound. Although these headphones will leak sound to the outside world, the sound inside is so lifelike, that it’s like being at your own private performance.
Balanced input option
Supplied with balanced and non-balanced cables, the HD 660S2 maximises the potential of dedicated headphone amps and music players fitted with balanced outputs. Balanced cables minimise interference, enhancing the music’s purity. The standard, non-balanced cable is fitted with a 6.35mm plug, with a push-on 3.5mm adaptor also supplied.
