Not so analytical that they can be tiring in the long term or overly warm, the HD550’s strike a neutral balance for enjoyable yet revealing sound. The neutral balance also means that they suit gaming and remote working video just as well as music, letting you use one pair of headphones across various types of media.

Featuring an improved laminate diaphragm, the speaker drivers dig deep into the bass, without over exaggerating the sound. Reaching deep down to just 6Hz, they offer a wide frequency response that lets you hear the bottom-end response precisely as the musician intended.

Sennheiser’s 500-series durability is legendary and the HD550s easily live up to the reputation. The metal headband ensures maximum strength at a critical point, with metal mesh also protecting the drivers. The cable plugs in at one side of the headphones, making it easy to replace or upgrade.
Supplied with a carry bag and 6.35mm adapter
Supplied with a drawstring carry bag, the HD550s can be safely stored away without gathering dust or being at risk of being scratched by other objects. The 1.8 metre cable is fitted with a 3.5mm plug but can be quickly converted to 6.35mm via the supplied adapter. A wide range of aftermarket spares and accessories let you change the cable for a different length and plug type.
