Sound precision with DSEE HX and 6mm drivers
DSEE HX upsamples compressed music files, giving them a fuller, richer sound. Using tiny, 6mm drivers inside the earphones, the WF-1000XM3 delivers a rich, clear and enveloping sound with whatever music or speech source you’re listening to.
Fine-tune the sound with Headphones Connect
Get the Sony Headphones Connect app (available on Apple iOS and Google) and you can fine-tune the sound to exactly how you like it. Ambient Sound Control lets you decide just how much background noise you hear while the equalizer tunes the sound output to your exact preferences.
Adaptive Sound Control adjusts to you
Another feature available via the Headphones Connect app is Adaptive Sound Control. This detects whether you’re walking, traveling or stationary and then adjusts the ambient sound settings to suit – automatically.
Enhanced Bluetooth connection
The latest Bluetooth chip delivers sound to both earbuds simultaneously, rather than from one to the other. This improves the music’s timing and keeps the earphones precisely in sync with the music or speech – especially handy when you’re watching videos. For a speedy connection with your smartphone, the WF-1000XM3 also features NFC (Near Field Communication). Simply tap the NFC-equipped phone against the headphone’s case and it's ready to go.
Amazon Alexa and Google voice assistants
Using the built-in microphone, the Sony WF-1000XM3 headphones are compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google’s voice Assistant. Simply press and hold the noise-cancelling button and ask your PA a question. The touch sensitive pad also lets you communicate more easily – simply hold the pad to instantly turn down the volume with Quick Attention.
Extended battery time with the charge case
Charged up, these tiny earphones now give you up to 8 hours music playback, with NC off. Switch on Noise Cancelling, and the playback time is up to 6 hours. Supplied with a charging case, once your headphones have run out of power, pop them in the case and within around 1.5 hours you’re all charged and ready to go. You can charge a further three times, giving you the potential for over 24 hours of music.

Featuring ergonomic tri-hold structures, these earphones make three points of contact with your ear for a comfortable and secure fit. The high friction rubber surface also help in keeping the earbuds snug and the outside noise out.
