With a potent Class-D amplifier at its heart, the Prime Wireless SoundBase outputs a punchy 75 watts per channel. Match it with 4 ohm speakers and the potential power climbs to a mighty 150 watts per channel – enough for high volume levels in even the largest rooms. A dedicated subwoofer output means that you can also link the amp to your choice of active subwoofer.
Hi-Res sound over wi-fi
Featuring a premium quality 24 bit/192kHz DAC, the Prime Wireless SoundBase is ideal for streaming Hi-Res Audio files over wi-fi. This not only makes it the perfect choice for maximising the potential from your stored music files but also the increasingly high quality streams from streaming music services.
DTS Play-Fi for effortless music streaming
DTS Play-Fi is a premium, wireless control system that brings everything under one 'roof'. Download the free app and you'll not only have access to Internet radio via Sirius XM but also popular music apps such as Spotify, Tidal, Deezer and Amazon Music.
Chromecast audio and AirPlay 2
In addition to DTS Play-Fi, the Prime Wireless SoundBase also features Chromecast and AirPlay 2. Chromecast Audio is the Android music streamer that accesses the Google Play store for a vast range of audio app solutions. Support for AirPlay 2 lets you stream audio directly from your Apple device, making this player equally suited to both systems.
Spotify Connect
If you have a premium Spotify account, this amp is compatible with its ‘Connect’ feature. This lets you use the Spotify app to take direct control of the music played over the Prime Wireless SoundBase, giving you a seamless experience as you switch between speaker devices.
Bluetooth with aptX
For quick and easy wireless music streaming, you can also pair your device via Bluetooth. For ‘CD-quality’ sound, the system is also compatible with AAC files and aptX, giving you a clearer and less compressed sound from your Bluetooth music streaming.
Connect your TV and other digital devices
As well as streaming capabilities, the Prime Wireless SoundBase connects to your TV and other digital music sources. Use the HDMI eARC to connect to TV, making this amp and your choice of speakers a great alternative to a soundbar. There’s also an optical input, making this amp ideal for linking up to your games console, Blu-ray or CD player.
Analogue in/outputs
Completing its extensive range of connectivity, the Prime Wireless SoundBase also features RCA phono and 3.5mm minijack, analogue inputs. These are perfect for connecting older devices, such as a CD player without a digital output, a turntable with built-in phono preamp or even an old portable device. RCA phono outputs let you add an even higher spec power amp in time.
