Product Information
Now featuring their latest digital technology, the Technics SL-1210GR2 is smoother and more detailed sounding than ever.
A legend made better
The Technics SL-1210 GR2 model takes a legendary turntable and gives it a thorough makeover, making this classic deck even more impressive. With new digital signal processing, distortion is reduced, while technology from the flagship SL-1000R cancels noise for a quieter backdrop, letting you hear more detail from your vinyl than before.
Still setting the standard
Developed as a turntable that was sturdy enough to be used professionally but simple and attractive enough to use at home, the Technics SL-1210 was a hit from the beginning. Starting life in the early '70s, the SL1210 lived through many versions and is still seen by many as the reference deck for club use. Just like its predecessors, the SL-1210GR2 is designed to appeal equally to DJs and audiophiles. With a wide breath of abilities, this turntable truly does it all.
Coreless direct drive with digital control for the smoothest rotation
The SL-1210GR2 uses a top quality, coreless motor for minimal vibration. The single-rotor, coreless direct-drive motor eliminates 'cogging' which can lead to a ‘jittery’ sound on lesser direct drive turntables. New to the M2 version, JENO-Engine digital processing technology ensures an even smoother rotation, for the least possible distortion.
Enhanced power supply
Using an all-new power supply and noise-cancelling circuit from the SL-1000R model, the SL-1210GR2 is electrically quieter than before. This means you hear less background noise and more of the finer musical details that could otherwise be lost.
Heavyweight construction
Everything about the SL-1210GR2’s construction is designed to reduce vibration and improve sound quality. The die-cast aluminium platter features rear bracing and is one of the weightiest in its class. The high mass and rigidity improves speed stability and reduces distortion for a cleaner, purer sound.
Fully adjustable tonearm
With high precision bearings and Technics's gimbal suspension system, the S-shaped tonearm is a classic Technics design. It also offers a wide range of adjustments, including VTA (Vertical Tracking Angle), weight and bias, making it ideal for a huge range of different cartridges and even different thicknesses of slipmat. The detachable headshell makes swapping cartridges a quick and simple process.
Wide-ranging pitch control
With its 'x2' button, you can double the range of the pitch control from +/- 8% to +/-16%. This extra range makes it even more flexible as a mixing tool and even handier in the studio, too.
Enjoy legendary sound and usability in your home or studio, with the Technics SL-1210GR2.
