Product Information
”The Technics SL-1300G turntable is a great alternative to the existing class leaders. It is superbly made, easy to use and well-engineered.” ’What Hi-Fi?’ – 5 Star review.
Technics precision in a turntable designed for home
Famous for its professional SL1200 ‘club’ turntables, Technics has an unrivalled reputation for direct drive turntable excellence. The Technics SL-1300G takes those decades of experience to produce an exceptionally refined turntable for home use. Featuring the latest motor drive technology and exceptional chassis damping, this premium quality deck delivers outstanding detail, depth and musical precision.
Enhanced coreless motor for the smoothest sound
Featuring technology first used on Technics’s reference SL-1000 turntable, the SL-1300G’s coreless motor is redesigned to eliminate subtle vibrations that can affect sound quality. The twin-rotor, coreless direct-drive motor eliminates 'cogging' which can lead to an uneven sound on some direct drive turntables.
Vibration quelling chassis
Constructed from a die-cast aluminium top plate and BMC base, the chassis is highly rigid and has excellent damping characteristics. The chassis is further insulated with special silicon rubber feet for exceptional vibration control. These characteristics reduce distortion, giving a quieter background, letting fine musical detail shine through.
Heavyweight platter, balanced for precise sound
Constructed from three layers of brass, die-cast aluminium and deadening rubber, the heavy platter delivers smooth rotational stability for perfect pitch and powerful dynamics. The platter is also balanced, which further reduces any chance of vibration. The rubber damping supresses vibration, helping to deliver an even purer and more natural sound.
Multi-stage ‘silent’ power supply
For the smoothest and quietest power supply, the multi-stage PSU uses a low-noise switching circuit combined with current injection noise cancelling. High-speed switching produces less ripple and hum, which is further enhanced by noise detection which actively applies an inverse phase current to remove harmful signal noise. This means you hear less background noise and more of the finer musical details that could otherwise be lost.
High precision tonearm
With high precision bearings and Technics's gimbal suspension system, the S-shaped tonearm is a classic Technics design. It also offers a wide range of adjustments, making it ideal for a huge range of different cartridges. The detachable headshell makes swapping cartridges a quick and simple process.
Enjoy the smoothest and most accurate sound from your vinyl at home, with the Technics SL-1300G.
Designed for optimal performance from a mid-range turntable, the Pro-Ject Pick it 2M Silver delivers big on detail.
A sterling performer
Featuring pure silver coil windings, the Pro-Ject Pick it 2m Silver makes the ideal upgrade for a mid-range turntable. Using pure silver promotes a smooth and seamless sound, that brings out subtle details from your favourite discs.
Dynamic response
Based around Ortofon’s 2M cartridge series, the Pick it 2M Silver has a frequency response that mimics more costly MC (Moving Cartridge) designs. This means that you get outstanding treble detail for the price, and a warm, deeply dynamic response.
Smooth tracking
Deploying an elliptical stylus, the Pick it 2M Silver accurately tracks your records’ grooves, digging out detail while causing minimal surface wear.
Upgrade the 2M way
As this is based on the Ortofon 2M range, you can upgrade the stylus at a later date. As you’re ready to improve the sound, simply unclip the stylus and swap to a 2M Bronze or 2M Black for even more musical detail.
Take your deck to the next level, with the Pro-Ject Pick it 2M Silver.
