Engineered for the best possible sound and vision
For the ultimate picture quality, Magnetar have fitted their flagship player with the finest quality components. The 6-layer, gold immersion PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) make the perfect base for a range of top quality components, including Murata ceramic capacitors, TDK magnetic devices and NCC electrolytic capacitors. None of these components come cheap but they all contribute to making the sound and vison as clear and dynamic as possible.
Dual power supply
Separate power supplies for analogue and digital sections deliver the purest signals to all parts of the player. The analogue supply uses a hi-fi grade toroidal transformer with extensive shielding and dampening to reduce interference and vibration. The digital supply uses a two-stage filter, along with a multitude of expensive Rubycon capacitors to ensure it meets the high transient response demanded by high resolution audio.
Eye-popping HDR technology
With high power processors from Mediatek ARM at its heart, the UDP900 offers impressive video performance. Compatible with Dolby Vision and HDR10+, it’s all set to maximise the performance from your UHD Blu-ray discs recorded in these formats. Film fans will also appreciate True 24p Cinema, which delivers 24 frames per second, straight through to the screen, just as it would at the cinema.
High fidelity, lossless music playback
The UDP900 decodes DSD64/128, DSD64 multichannel and 192kHz/24bit formats and supports AIFF, ALAC, APE, FLAC and WAV audio files. This gives you effortless compatibility with a wide range of audio and AV high resolution sound systems, including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Auro 3D and Hi-Res Audio.
