The unique sound of valves
Rather than using transistors, the Unison Research Sinfonia brings valves into play, giving a unique sound. The amp uses a dual-mono configuration, with KT88 valves to deliver a smooth, powerful and spacious sound.
Powerful sound
With twin KT88 valves for each output channel, the Sinfonia has plenty of grunt. The 27-30 watts power output may not appear as impressive as similarly priced transistor amps, but in reality it sounds far louder than the figures suggest. With high current levels, it maintains excellent control of your speakers and is less constrained by inefficient speakers than lower powered valve amps.
Connections for 4 and 8 ohm speakers
This flexible valve amp features separate connections for both 4 and 8 ohm speakers. This gives you a wider choice of speakers, especially taking into account the Sinfonia’s generous power output.
All the features you need
Unlike some ‘barebones’ valve amps, the Sinfonia has all the basics you need. Five, line level inputs cover the most comprehensive hi-fi systems. The variable output is ideal for an active subwoofer. There’s a line level output for recording, too. For convenience, a remote control is also supplied.
Optional phono pre-amp power supply
With its built-in power supply for the optional (at extra cost) Simply Phono, phono pre-amp, this amp has the potential to boost the sound from your vinyl, too. The power supply from the Sinfonia is higher quality that the basic unit supplied with the Simply Phono, giving you a more detailed and powerful sound from vinyl.
Italian style
Just as you’d expect from this luxurious Italian brand, the styling is exquisite. There’s a cherry wood finish with the option of mahogany available to special order. The solid metal knobs, metal valve shields and crackle black finish are other highlights from this super-stylish amp.
