The return of a legendary device
Hugely popular in the ‘80s and ‘90s, it’s been a while since we’ve sold a portable cassette player but, with the We Are Rewind, all that is about to change! With its familiar shape and functionality, using this device is second nature to those who remember the Walkman™ the first time around and a tactile experience to those new to the format.
Easy control and smooth sound
Just like portable cassette players of the past, the controls are simple. Play, stop, rewind, fast forward and volume pretty much cover it. Once you’ve popped in your cassette and pressed Play, you’ll be reminded of just how smooth and spacious analogue cassette could sound. The player is compatible with all tape types, from Type I to IV or, as we used to know them, ‘Normal’, ‘Chrome’ and ‘Metal’.
Recording feature
Unlike most portables from the past, the We Are Rewind also records. Connect a line level source via the 3.5mm socket, press the orange record button and enjoy recording, the retro way.
Made better with Bluetooth
Unlike any portable cassette from the past, the We Are Rewind features Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. The Bluetooth transmitter lets you pair with your Bluetooth headphones or speaker, giving you the best of all worlds – analogue playback with wireless connectivity.
Modern battery technology for longer lasting playback
Since the dawn of the first Walkman™, battery technology has moved on by leaps and bounds. With the We Are Rewind, there’s no need for a constant supply of AA batteries. Instead, the player uses a rechargeable lithium battery, with a USB charging point. Once charged, you get up to 12 hours of continuous playback.
Premium, aluminium casing
Featuring an all-aluminium casing, the We Are Rewind has a premium feel – replicating the finest portables of the day. A small ‘porthole’ lets you see whereabouts you are on the cassette.
Choose your style
Meet Keith! Each of the four players has its own colourful character. Keith is finished in steely grey, which perfectly reflects the ‘high-tech’ era of the ’80s.
Rewind to a golden era of analogue music, with this thoroughly modern classic.
