Product Information
The Wharfedale Super Denton combines the best in heritage style and modern day technology for big-speaker sound from compact cabinets.
Heritage appeal with cutting-edge tech
Wharfedale first launched the original Denton speakers way back in 1967. Famous for using a 3-way design within a compact cabinet, they became a big hit with those wanting a full-bodied sound but without the big-bodied cabinets. The Super Denton stays true to the 3-way design and the wooden cabinets, but uses the latest speaker drive units for a much more open and detailed sound.
Ideal for room-filling sound in smaller spaces
No larger than most 2-way speakers, the Super Denton’s are as easy to place as ever. Because of their smaller sound, they’re perfect for using in smaller rooms or even with a desktop system.
Punchy bass response
They might be compact, but that doesn’t stop these Wharfedale warriors from having a surprisingly punchy bass. The 3-way design means that the woofer units can focus exclusively on the bottom end and, in combination with the twin rear ports, helps promote a deep and extended bass.
3-way design for exquisite mid-range
Another advantage of the 3-way design is the fitment of a top quality 50mm fabric dome that’s dedicated to the mid-range. This helps enhance vocal clarity and mid-range instruments such as piano and guitar. With the drivers dedicated to this, without having to also handle the bass, you get greatly improved resolution and realism.
Refined top-end
At the top of the frequency response, Wharfedale’s 25mm fabric domes create the perfect balance of detail and smoothness. Packed full of musical information, without being harsh, the treble blends seamlessly with the rest of the mix.
Choice of real wood veneers
Just like the original Dentons, the ‘Supers’ come with a wooden case. Modern production technique, however, create a better finish than would ever have been possible in the ‘60s and ‘70s. There’s also a choice of real wood veneers available, including walnut, mahogany and classic black.
Enjoy the perfect blend of vintage style and immersive sound, with the Wharfedale Super Denton.
