Product Information
Luxuriously finished, the Dual CS618Q is a direct drive turntable with perfect pitch.
Direct Drive for rock-solid stability
The Dual CS618Q features a quartz stabilised, direct drive motor for perfect pitch. Downsides for this type of drive can be noise and vibration, but Dual have got around these with careful engineering solutions. Coreless inductors eliminate vibration and double shielded Rotormagnets protect against stray magnetic fields. The result is smooth, silent drive that’s absolutely on point when it comes to pitch.
Quality base in choice of finishes
Constructed from solid MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard), the CS 618Q has a rigid base at its heart. Fitted with vibration absorbing feet, it resists mechanical distortion from other sources, too. Available in black, gloss black or walnut finishes, there’s a choice of colour to suit your décor.
Premium tonearm for superior tracking
With its twin gimbal design, the CS 618Q’s premium quality tonearm is superbly engineered. Twin gimbals, with pivot ball bearings means that the tonearm tracks as accurately as possible. Accurate tracking means you get a more natural and lifelike sound. The tonearm also features autostop and lift at the end of the record, protecting the stylus and speakers from potential damage.
Ortofon 2M blue cartridge included
Matching the superior quality of the deck and tonearm, the Dual CS 618Q is supplied with an Ortofon 2M blue cartridge. Usually priced at nearly £200 on its own, this top quality cartridge ensures a high standard of connection with your records. The nude elliptical diamond gets deeper into the grove, digging out more detail and a deeper bass.
Connect to any AUX input – with built-in phono pre-amp
Dual makes it easy to connect the CS 618Q to your existing system. A built-in phono pre-amp means you don't have to have a hi-fi with a phono pre-amp built-in - any AUX input will work fine.
Three speed playback – including 78rpm
As well as 33/45 speed selection, the Dual CS 618Q also has 78rpm speed setting. Simply change the stylus or cartridge head for a 78 compatible stylus and playback your old 78 discs. To make this easier, the tonearm is fitted with a detachable headshell, so it’s simply a case of unscrewing one headshell and screwing on the next.
Enjoy sound that’s on point, with the Dual CS 618Q.
